The only annoying factor is if you’re driving from Denver there is road construction along 119 between Nederland and Boulder and it takes FOREVER, probably waited in construction traffic for over a half hour driving home. Vehicles without high clearance should park at this junction. You can make it to the lake without snowshoes tho but only b/c the snow is so hard you can walk on top of it without sinking in.
